Describe your business
Here at The Little Yoga Hut you learn to sit, kneel, or stand on the paddle boards. Followed by a pure stretch yoga class. All ages are invited to come out. No experience needed. This is a fun experience for all ages . Check out the Facebook to see more videos and fun.
What made you decide to open this business?
I had a double transplant kidney and pancreas 2 and a half years ago. I started the business to keep me healthy but also to share the fun learning process with others.
Why did you choose this profession?
I love being healthy and being in the water. Sharing knowledge with others while making them healthier
What drives you to do what you do? What motivates you?
I know to maintain my transplant I have to keep my own self healthy.
What has surprised you most when owning a business?
The lack of knowledge that some people have, or how a bad experience on the water can scare them forever.
What was it like when you first started?
I was scared I did not really know what to expect, but I am a people person. I like to learn through other people’s past experiences.
What is something most people don’t know about the business?
That is can be fun!
What would your customers say they love most about your business?
I am a patient person and I will make your experience fun.
What are some odd requests you’ve had from clients?
Some clients just want to paddle out and lay on the board without a yoga class.
How do you motivate and encourage your staff?
I always say, “No matter what happens, as long as you try, then you did not fail.”
What are your goals over the next year?
My goals is to bring in more clients by adding a few more boards and to start offering aerial yoga at the studio.
What are your greatest challenges?
How long have you lived in the neighborhood?
I have lived in Vero Beach for 24 years and moved up this way about 8 years ago.
What were the factors that made you choose this neighborhood?
It’s small but beautiful.
What do you love most about the neighborhood?
That there is lots of things to do in the park all year long.
What are your favorite restaurants in the neighborhood?
The Ham and Eggs Place I get a Belgium waffle with whipped cream for breakfast. Mmmm
What is something most people don’t know about you?
They would never know I was a transplant patient unless I tell them. And then they say, “You look so healthy.”
Why do you think it’s important for people to shop local?
Shopping local gives you a more personal experience.
What’s the most memorable experience you’ve had working with a customer?
They are all great! Every time someone who didn’t think they could do it comes out of the water, they are so excited.
